Collection Cornerstone
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph
Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas collection is as iconic as it gets. The brand is known for producing excellent, high-end timepieces that are not only easy on the eye, but also technologically advanced. The Overseas collection represents that and more. With an unmistakable design and one of, if not the most used complications, this Vacheron Constantin Overseas chronograph is a perfect addition to any collection. The timepiece has a great contemporary size of 42 mm, a sapphire crystal, and a titanium bezel. Gray may not be the most popular color when it comes to watches, but it works well with the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, giving it a low-key look that is more elegant than sporty. Speaking of which, if you opt for the rubber strap, the Overseas chronograph will wear comfortably and look trendy at the same time. This would definitely be the look we’d go for with this legendary watch. Plus, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas’ date window is at 12 o’clock, giving the common feature a fun spin. Then again, that is what makes the Vacheron Constantin Overseas what it is, bold and different.
Enthusiast’s Corner: Rare and Exceptional Timepieces
MB&F Horological Machine HM5
A true watch lover has a taste for all things horology, whether it be simple watches or super complicated creations. Design matters, as do materials. When you think of watch brands, there is one company whose core values match almost all of these criteria: MB&F. We have covered many, if not all of this Swiss company’s creations in the Chrono24 Magazine. Their Horological Machine HM5 is not a new concept, but it’s just as intriguing today as it was when it first came out years ago. In the crazy world of MB&F creations, the HM5 is possibly one of the simplest timepieces in terms of design, but don’t let its looks fool you. The MB&F Horological Machine HM5 is a very intricate timepiece from its case design to its caliber. It is heavily influenced by iconic watches from the 1970s like the Amida Digitrend and supercars like the Lamborghini Miura. At the same time, the watch is clearly a modern masterpiece that is well worth your attention.
Iconic Timepieces: Great Value for Money
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar
Is there anything more awesome than a high-end annual calendar watch? A high-end perpetual calendar watch, of course! When it comes to perpetual calendars done in a ridiculously elegant way, there is no better option than the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar; at least, not at its price point. The Ultra Thin is only 39 mm in diameter and breathtakingly stylish in a steel case on a crocodile leather strap. The watch features a full calendar, i.e., day, date, month, and year, and a Moon phase indicator. Despite all these complications, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar’s dial is easy to read. It’s a wearable timepiece with a ton of character and style. The silver dial paired with the steel case is a great combination. While this is a new watch, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar will surely become an iconic timepiece down the road thanks to its charm and functionality. Only time will tell the future of this model, but if it were up to me, I’d be adding it to the list of legendary watches right now.
