The time has come: NOMOS Glashütte has joined the BrandBoutique. Starting now, Chrono24 users can purchase NOMOS watches directly from the manufacturer – with a warranty and free shipping. From the Tangente to the Metro and the Orion: All the most coveted models are available now.

What makes this brand’s timepieces so special? NOMOS watches captivate wearers with their exceptional quality and linear, Bauhaus-inspired designs. These creative and tidy watches have already won over 140 awards and exude a modern, urban feel. Inside they are powered by accurate and long-lasting in-house calibers, all of which are made in Glashütte. Since up to 95% of each movement is created in this small Saxon town, NOMOS Glashütte is known as the “100% Manufacturer.”

Like NOMOS, Chrono24 are go-getters. Both companies are young and among the most successful players in their industries: With over 390,000 listings, Chrono24 is the leading luxury watch marketplace, and NOMOS Glashütte is one of the largest German watch manufacturers today. Together, both companies will be able to reach even more watch fans around the world and spread their love of mechanical watches.

The Most Famous Watches from NOMOS Glashütte

NOMOS watches have enjoyed widespread popularity for some time now. The Tangente is easily one of the brand’s most successful models. The Tangente, Tetra, Orion, and Ludwig all came to market at the same time in 1992, two years after the company’s foundation. Today, all of these watches are available in numerous colors and sizes, with manual or automatic movements. The Metro is another popular and special NOMOS model that cannot be ignored.

The Tangente: The Classic from NOMOS Glasshütte

The Tangente is linear, uncluttered, and features only the essentials. As one of the first NOMOS watches, it has been among the German manufacturer’s most successful models for over 25 years. No other watch so perfectly embodies NOMOS Glashütte as the Tangente, and its status as the brand’s classic model is more than justified. Its design is characterized by right angles, clarity, and simplicity – all in keeping with the Bauhaus style that sets NOMOS apart. The alternation of Arabic numerals and long line indices on the dial lends the Tangente its unmistakable appearance.

The Metro: For Sophisticated Urbanites

The Metro represents two pillars of NOMOS Glashütte: traditional craftsmanship and cosmopolitan creativity. Its design elements combine these two philosophies. Subtle splashes of color are youthful and fresh, while the domed sapphire glass is more classic. The wire lugs and textured crown are both distinctive features of the Metro. The power reserve display from the very first model is patented and creative: A round window uses three colors to show when the watch needs to be wound. Jam-packed with ingenuity, the Metro and its designer, Mark Braun from Berlin, have received all of the most prestigious design prizes.

The Orion: Domed like a UFO

The Orion is pure minimalism at its very best. Its design is more simple and lucid than any other NOMOS watch. Three thin hands point to equally thin indices to indicate the time. It doesn’t get much clearer than that.

The case is gently rounded with domed sapphire glass on both the front and back. From the side, the Orion almost resembles a UFO, hence the name. Thanks to the in-house caliber DUW 3001, the automatic version is pleasantly flat. This allows it to inconspicuously nestle against the wrist and easily slide beneath a shirtsleeve.
